It's been two years since I first joined dA, and I'm certainly older, if not sadder or wiser.

Over the past two years I have:

* Started to actually think of myself as an artist rather than an artist-wannabe, because art is something you do, and I'm doing it

* Taken a year's worth of watercolor classes at my local art center, which makes me no longer entirely self taught \o/

* Kept my love for Stargate: Atlantis and its delightfully drawable cast

* Failed miserably to keep up with comments and favs on my posts here

Over the next two years I hope to:

* Keep doing, keep growing, keep trying new things

* Continue to explore media, whether on my own or in classes

* Find joy wherever I can, in whatever inspiration speaks to me

* Do better about answering comments! I really do appreciate each and every one.

The problem with today's youth is that I am no longer a part of them

Hey! I was formally known as eragonsaphira3. Anyways my computer got a bug, and I had wanted to change my deviant name anyways. (I made it a long time a go before I had any talent) So over the next month or so I will be transferring my art and stuff. Feel free to watch me again, or wait a little bit if you want, so you don't get alerted about my whole gallery that you've probably already seen. Thanks! I love you art as always!

Hey therey,
I was searching for wing-pictures and slipped over your gallery. I really like your pichtures - you seem to really get the people right. And you're really smooth with the pencil! =)
(And you've got a crush on Stagate Atlantis, hum? ^^ - Well, it's great!)
I added some of your pictures to my favourites.
I think - as far I can see - the older ones are better than the new ones? How come?

Best greetings! =)

The emptier his life got, the more words he used to describe it.

Heh. Thanks for viewing. As for the older ones being better, well, I spent a heckuva lot more time on them. Like, hours just to get the blocking in right, and then hours more on shading.

So maybe I'm doing things backward, but I've been trying to train myself to work faster, erase less, and draw without blocking. Most of the recent sketches are done in less than an hour. I probably should post them to scraps, but whatever.

I don't honestly know if I'll have the energy to do detailed, polished portraits again any time soon. It's just not where I'm at right now, and I have to go where the muse leads me. I tend to get bored doing the same thing over and over. ;)

I love all of your art! It's amazing! When did you start and did you take lessons or just do it yourself? Keep posting more!
:iconcrysothemis:
Hey, thanks! Glad you enjoyed my gallery. I am completely untrained in pencil work, although I've recently taken some classes in watercolor technique.

I've been drawing seriously since 2005. Most of the work in this gallery was done in the first and second year of my self-training.
:iconbooklover23:
Thank you! Maybe there's still hope for me learning on my own yet!
:iconcrowblade:
You are just amazing with a pencil you art work looks so real
